A live performance is actually a magic moment: a peculiar alchemy between performers and audience. We know the amazing sensation of singing and playing for someone else tracks and melodies coming especially from musical scores: often soundtracks call to mind some moments of our life, so listening to a live performance could be very moving, bringing us back to that instant.
Nino Rota’s soundtracks live performers are a group of four determined women: violin, transverse flute, piano and voice. They all have in common a strong passion for music, as well as the cinema world, so that is what drove them founding the Nino Rota Ensemble.
So, Nino Rota live performances are all played by a female quartet, proving that music is also a women affair!
The name they chose is a tribute to the legendary Nino Rota, music composer who gave life to many original soundtracks of Federico Fellini’s movies. His professional life saw also other illustrious collaborations, such the ones with Luchino Visconti, Franco Zeffirelli and Francis Ford Coppola. This name will eternally be connected to Italy, to high quality compositions and to blockbuster movies.

This detail is really meaningful, because it explains itself the attitude towards music and the way to intend it of the quartet. This Ensemble wants to wisely combine the sparkling world of filmmaking to the never-ending one of music and classical music. And this must be a working recipe, since the success the group collected all over Europe and other extra-Europe countries.
Concerts took place in many locations such as theatres and arenas in Sweden, Portugal, Egypt, Germany, France, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Luxemburg, Latvia, Poland, but also Azerbaijan, Taiwan, Brazil, Tunisia, Morocco, Cyprus, Lebanon, Libya and Syria, up to Indonesia, Nigeria and Kazakhstan: we can say all over the world!
The fabulous female quartet had recently the occasion to play in front of many popular Directors and Composers of the caliber of Ennio Morricone, Stelvio Cipriani, Ettore Scola, Francesco Rosi and Marco Bellocchio. That has been both an honor and a personal, special recognition.
